Explanation of Factions[ | ]
The various groups of Mort Stahl are various undead and machines with the intelligent undead and vampires wanting to rebuild society, the spectre and formless undead wanting to cause mischief or destroy things as different forms of nihilists, and zombies, mindless robots, and other mindless undead being controlled and manipulated by hordes of vaguely intelligent A.I that some believe are trying to keep the world in a status quo.
The current state of Mort Stahl[ | ]
Mort Stahls poles changed rapidly causing the protective magnetic field of the planet to dissipate for a long enough time that the majority/ or all of the atmosphere left the planet, at least enough of it that it is noticeable that there is no rain, clouds, or breathable air. The shifting of the poles also caused a huge amount of the sun's rays to get through to the planet's surface causing many hot wastes to form. Making Mort Stahl incredibly hot during the day and very cold at night.
Biomes of Mort Stahl[ | ]
The main biomes of Mort Stahl are highly urbanized zones that have been abandoned and are being restored. 2 Barren flat wastes of dirt and sand. 3 Underground Plasma Forges full of arenas and violent entertainment as well as hot metallic pillars.
Design[ | ]
The realm contains various tribal types, namely: Golem, Undead, Robot, Spectre, and Vampire. The art should suggest No life and no or low air atmosphere with a post-apocalyptic future setting with magic.
Mort Stahl has three different factions, each with its own affinity for its cards.
Strength Affinity Factions[ | ]
Strength affiliated factions within Mort Stahl are comprised mostly of intelligent physical undead such as vampires and liches, Robots that are maintained and used by those undead or machines that have acquired a functioning level of sentients, and cyborg undead that has replaced old rotting flesh with more and more robotic material. The factions associated with strength affiliation are of the mindset to reclaim and reconstruct new functioning societies across the dying crust of Mort Stahl, though not all among them agree on how to do that.
Spirit Affinity Factions[ | ]
Spirit affiliated factions within Mort Stahl are for the majority spectre, oozes, and other incorporeal and withering undead. Spirit affiliated don't usually work with each other but do share a common interest of wanting the world to finally be put to rest and for all un-life and machines to finally dissipate into nothingness or an unforeseen next life.
Mind Affinity Factions[ | ]
Mind affiliated factions are, for the most part, mindless hoards of undead and broken machines that now act on nothing but the last orders they were given or the orders of a small sect of sentient powerful A.I. that wish to see the world become nothing more than their personal massive computer. Entire ruined cities are filled to the brim with those mindless undead and robots, and they are by far the most normal state of being left on the crust of Mort Shahl. By the Sentient undead and machines, these creatures are seen as nothing more than natural disasters or part of the modern landscape that makes up the planet.
