Strategy[ | ]

Buluc Scaling is a control deck that aims to survive the early game, then use repeated face burn casts of Absolute Scaling as its inevitability package. Absolute Scaling starts off at the rate of dealing 2 damage for 3 mana, then deals 2 more damage for each subsequent casting (regardless of the actual copy used). Early copies of Absolute Scaling is generally used as removal, while later copies are used to burst down the opponent's health quickly in the span of one to two turns. The support cards for Absolute Scaling are Scavenger Crab and Soul Harvester Xil. Scavenger Crabs are used to create more copies of Scaling, while Xil is used to create more copies of Crab. As Scaling is an action, playing Crab after Scaling guarantees that it'll be returned to hand. Crab, however, has a chance of being killed before Xil can successfully target it. It's therefore recommended to play Crab off-initiative, so that Xil can be played on-initiative the next turn and guaranteeing two more Crabs in hand. The other cards in the deck are standard control cards, offering various forms of removal and card draw. It is important to know the situation that each removal is best suited for, and use them accordingly for the most value.
